Maurizio BraschiPlucked Instruments Course Assistant

Self-taught electric and acoustic guitarist since 1980, with a wide musical conception, from American folk to electric blues and progressive rock.

In 2000, after 15 years working in a graphic design company he chose to leave a “safe” job to land in Maremma (Tuscany) and experience the world of horses, initially as a groom than later as a small trekking organizer. From 2003 to 2006, thanks to his passion for music, he became a jazz club manager placed on the Mount Amiata in the province of Grosseto, where he organized concerts, vernissage, themed aperitifs, theater shows.

In 2007 he was called, also for his skills and creativity, to collaborate in the opening of a high-profile Italian restaurant in Copenhagen. He worked abroad  in the catering sector, also in hotels, restaurants, American bars. In 2009 he returned to Italy and, always following his passion for music, approached the world of violin making by training in some laboratories in Turin, experimenting, as he once did, with learning in the field.

He has been in contact with the Accademia Liuteria Piemontese San Filippo since 2017, carrying out maintenance, repair and restoration activities of modern and historic guitars.

In 2018, he assisted the Accademia in the planning of the first start-up course for the construction of plucked instruments, proposing four different educational paths that include classical guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and electric bass.

Today he is the assistant of the Accademia for the Plucked Instruments courses.
